Jetties to the Soul

Jetties are structures that extend over a body of water: a river, lake or sea. They can serve as a bridge from shore to deep water. I’m curious about ‘jetties to the soul’. How do we build a bridge to experience the depth of one’s essence, one’s spirit, one’s sense of the creative self?
