Olegas Truchanas, photographer, said: ‘This vanishing world is beautiful beyond our dreams and contains in itself rewards and gratifications never found in an artificial landscape or man-made objects.’ Human consciousness is fluid, streaming over terraces and often only skimming over pools of ancient wisdom and Truchanas-like insights. Is our modern wisdom sufficiently acclimatised to preserve the natural world?
